Seeking for help:
do you know if it's possible to send special characters like the 'degree char' ° or German Umlaute using ESPEasy rules to IFTTT and receive those ones later on the cell phone? How
Have tried some codings, best shot was an output like '°'.
Currently I'm sending the string directly from the rules tab: SendToHTTP maker.ifttt.com,80,/trigger/<section>/with/key
value3=TempTank: [tempWas#hwtank]°
Thank you
P.S.: not sure if the section fits.

Re: IFTTT: special characters, Umlaute
Does {D} work here?
We don't have an Unicode alias for umlauts etc.

Re: IFTTT: special characters, Umlaute
same result unfortunately: °
Re: IFTTT: special characters, Umlaute
That implies that there is something handling these special characters that doesn't support unicode. Can you try to put in the ° explicitly in your script, so no ° or {D} ? I'd expect that to work.
