Let's Control It

Hello to all, I need to use TM1637 LED Display Module with big 7 segment display. The common TM1637 LED Display Module's displays are small. Here is sample:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002 ... TLUBEHpcUF. May I change the TM1637's 0.56 inch LED Display Module with the 0.8 inch one as the link https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000284 ... i96xq6q9Pl. I need advice from experts.

You can use any size of display, as long as it is supported by the plugin & hardware, and TM1637 is supported, so I see no issues here. The plugin is only concerned about the chip used, not the display connected to the chip

Should i change the display with common anode or common cathode one?

That depends on what's currently being used, I'm not an expert on that, sorry, just been using 'regular' units, bought from my friends at Ali
Depending on price, you can buy both types and don't use the ones that won't work, but that's not efficient, better investigate what's being used.

Did a bit of a google search and found this note: "The TM1637 supports only common anode displays"
That should get you the correct ones

important information, It's good that you told me before ordering.

After two weeks of waiting, 0.8 Inch 7 Segment displays arrived. I want to share with all. Might be later somebody use. I soldered the new display as a prototype, don't mind the workmanship, I haven't done the final assembly yet. Please see the differences with orjinal TM1637 display modul.

Those displays are 4 bit Anode type. Actually I bought 2 types of display. One is 4 bit Common Anode another is 4 bit Anode Clock. But 4 bit Anode Clock has 7 pins but 4 bit Common Anode has 6 pins. The original TM1637 has 6 pins with clock. What do you think about how can I connect 4 bit Anode Clock (7 pin) to the TM1637)

Looks like a nice experiment, working out as intended

The 2 middle dots are usually (for what I could find on Google) connected in parallel on the extra pins, 1 on each side. Using a multimeter in diode test mode should assist in finding what pins are used for that. Not sure how they should connect to the TM1637 though but there are a lot of schematics available on google too.
