rules, Block comments ?

#1 Post by uxhamby » 01 May 2022, 02:54

Hi,

Is there a text sequence to cause a whole block of the rules text, to be interpreted as a comment ?

Other interpreters allow for something like /* as comnent on and */ as comment off. Any thing like this available in EE rules?

I did a couple of searches, but haven't found anything like this. Am I asking too much?

Thanks,

Cheers,

Brian H.

A similar question was asked here:

And having such an option might tempt you to make really big rules and that's probably not a good idea for devices with limited memory.

A rules block is not "executed" if the on..do part is commented.

So you could add // in front of the on...do line.
