Measuring ambient sound outside

Hi,
anybody any idea, how measure outside ambient sound ?
Cheap solution :)

- sensor must be for outdoor
- ideal analog output

If you can somehow convert the volume to an analog value representing the loudness, then it is very easy to act on it.
However, if it needs constant sampling at high frequency, then there isn't a ready ESPEasy plugin right now.

I would like measure outside ambient noise, but i think normal mics are not good for long time outdoor use... ?
Maybee something as this https://wiki.dfrobot.com/Gravity__Analo ... KU_SEN0232 but with different mic.. ?
Any idea ?

I think an electret microphone can be mounted in such a way that it won't suffer a lot from the weather.
You can also make a "tunnel" to redirect the sound so you can have the mic opening at the bottom so no water will get in.
