Nice housing or ready made with good WAF

#1 Post by HomeJCL » 10 Jan 2022, 19:28

Hi

Just found this, readymade setup https://www.kincony.com/kc868-uair-esp ... eased.html with ESP32

Or also interesting the housing (naked) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/330406 ... 6c37034tAs most interesting not limited to their specific print size, both shells have 4 studs for screw fixing of prints

Very high WAF factor :
Belgium and land of ESP ... counting :D

Looks really nice indeed.
And also the enclosure looks quite good. Too bad it has openings for mini USB, but that's probably why it is so cheap :)

Too bad they don't list it with ESPEasy... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003740881856.html

My advice is to stay away of that device ! Have one here and it's chinese bad design :(
  • One of the ring/base LED is wired with bar LED which kills the visual effect of product
  • Temperature sensor inside is not an original Dallas temp sensor (4/5° offset with my other sensors aronud !).
  • support of manufacturer is very bad.

have anybody sucessfully installed ESP32 version of ESPEASY on this board?

This board is interesting for me as "ready made of-the-shelf HW" with digital I/O and wired Ethernet.

I have not, but seems like all onboard except for the RF modules should work just fine.

Not sure where you have found the wired Ethernet connection, I can only see 2 mini-USB connectors installed :?
And AFAICS, the available GPIO pins don't allow for an Ethernet module to be connected, as some of the required/fixed ETH GPIOs are in use by other things.

That one works really well with ESPHome so it should be all good with ESPEasy too ;) I have quite a few installed at some customers !

Ah, ok, indeed, all except the 433 MHz sub-boards seem to be supported. I do have support for such 433 MHz boards on my TODO list though... ;)
