Control of a LED matrix point display ??

#1 Post by vincen » 04 Nov 2018, 09:57

Hi

I have a display like that https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Sh ... 4c4dNvq7vE that I'd like to use with ESP so I can display on it some usefuls data such as outside temperature, date, time,... but not sure how to interface it and if it's compatible with an ESP.
On back it has five connections:
  • VCC
  • GND
  • DOUT
  • CS
  • CLK
Thanks for help, suggestions

It's not yet supported by ESP Easy. It's on the "to do".
ESP Easy Flasher [flash tool and wifi setup at flash time]
ESP Easy Webdumper [easy screendumping of your units]
ESP Easy Netscan [find units]
Official shop: https://firstbyte.shop/
Sponsor ESP Easy, we need you

Late to this party, sorry, just found this thread.

This type of display is supported since October 2021 releases of ESPEasy. it is available in the 'Display' builds.

Thanks for the late update but I've switched over ESPHome since a long time as it's a lot easier and more integrated with Home Assistant
