Rotary encoder plugin?

#1 Post by grovkillen » 15 May 2017, 08:26

Is there anyone who plan to add support for rotary encoders (not just as simple pulse inputs as I talk about on the wiki)?

One example is the widely used KY-040. More about that one here. But it would be developed as a generic Rotary Encoder plugin and not only for the KY-040 (which is good for moving within a GUI). Pulse wheels are used where better resolution is needed.

I have implemented a jitter resistant and robust QEI class in mbed. I planned to port it to ESPEasy but there a some other plugins in my pipeline. Maybe in the next 4 weeks.
