How to "destroy" a dummy from the task list?

Hallo all!
I am using the "dummy" device in on one of my app and seem to work ok enough for me.
But I wonder wow to get rid of such a dummy device when it's no longer needed?
I tried to disable or even take it out from the device list bu it continues to appear in the log readings.
For the moment I can live with that but I noticed that the "load" of the device is 100% and I hve some more things to put into...
Can someone enlighten me a little on this issue, please?
