R105 bug with Task naming

#1 Post by dduley » 02 May 2016, 05:23

Hi All,

I think I discovered a weird bug. I'm using R105. I have an electric gate that gets a command from Openhab to momentarily close a relay on PCFGPIO1. I wanted the driveway lights to come on when the gate is opened. I am monitoring PCFGPIO 1 with a switch task. This works well. The ESP module on the gate is number 1 and the unit controlling the driveway light is 17. The name of my switch task is Gaterelay and the value name is State. Send Data and Globalsync are checked so the switch event is broadcast to other modules. When I watch the log for Unit 17, however, when I activate the gate I get Event Gaterelay#Switch. ESPEasy ignored the value name I had given it but used the default value name of Switch instead.
I have had quite a few twitchy problems with tasks names and variable names. I have deleted tasks only to have a task name remain and it wasn't even the name of the task I deleted. It was the name of the previous task.

If I change the Switch task value name to Switch then it all works fine.

Regards

Dave
