Serious serial problem?

#1 Post by BertB » 13 May 2016, 11:17

I have a RPI 3 B with Domoticz, OTGW (USB), PVOutput (bluetooth) and RFLink.
It ran very good for a couple of days, but this morning I discovered serious problems.
Without RFLINK, I have no problems at all.

Note: I had RFLINK first on antoher RPI 3 B with Domoticz and zwave for many months without any problem.

I could not solve the problem with rebooting and fysically disconnecting RFLINK.

This is what I saw in the log:

The log only shows OTGW errors.. Some serious serial communication issues..
Why would this be related to RFlink?
Either your two USB devices are tied to the same resource or your OTGW is messed up.
Did you make a "persistant" setting for the two USB devices?
Did you try RFLink without the OTGW?

This problem only occurs when I connect RFLINK to the RPI, but it could also be a problem of Domoticz. I don't know.

Yes, the USB devices are made persistant.

Yes, I had RFLINK running on an RPI with ZWAVE for many months, without a problem.
On the other RPI I had OTGW and SMBSpot with BlueTooth running for more than a year without problem.

Some days back, I connected RFLINK to the RPI with OTGW.
First it ran okay, but after a couple of days the problems started.

The onlyu way to get the RPI with SMBspot and OTGW working again, was by rebooting and fysically removing RFLINK.

I wonder if this problem is addressed here, or does it belong somewhere else?

It might be related to serial port handling of Domoticz.. or even the Pi or the OTGW.
The log shows errors in OTGW's serial port handling which indicates that it is not an RFLink issue.
RFLink is running fine on a variety of platforms. Even in combination with other serial devices.
You should probably try the Domoticz forum.. Maybe the person who made the OTGW interface for Domoticz knows what your error log means.
