Hi all,
Thank you, first of all thanks for all the good work.
I still have a question with respect to the update possibility of my Sonoff 4.
I noticed that only FHEM versions with OTA are available (the ESP_Easy_mega_20210802_minimal_core_274_ESP8285_1M_OTA_FHEM_HA.bin)
Is there any chance that the Domoticz version will be released?

Re: OTA question
The Domoticz version still was slightly too big on the last build.
But I still got some ideas to try, so I hope to get it to fit again.

Re: OTA question
Only for curiosity, what is the speciality of this version and what can the Domoticz version do?

Re: OTA question
It has a small enough footprint to fit in a ESP8285 that is mounted in some Sonoff devices.
The Domoticz variant makes it integrate with Domoticz.

Re: OTA question
Yep, the "minimal OTA" builds are meant to be upgradable via OTA on 1M nodes like a lot of Sonoff devices have.
However you still need to use the "2-step-OTA" binary as intermediate, but at least you don't need to re-open the device to upgrade the firmware.
To keep them as small as possible, I created 2 versions (apart from the ESP8266/ESP8285 options):
- One for use with FHEM/OpenHAB etc.
- One for use with Domoticz.
It is highly unlikely one needs both FHEM/OpenHAB and Domoticz as their user base is almost mutual exclusive.
So that's why I split it like this.
But the minimal OTA builds for Domoticz are still too big to be able to perform OTA updates, so still work to do.

Re: OTA question
Thanks for this information, again I learnt something new.

Re: OTA question
Hi all,
Is there some update on this question?
Will there be an update for the Domoticz capable OTA version for the Sonoff 4?
