Issue about Serial Server Device

#1 Post by tdouez » 29 Jul 2021, 10:33

Hello,
I would like to test the serial connection between my PC with terminal and Telnet with a WEMOS D1 mini. It works by sending characters from Telnet to serial terminal but I get nothing when sending characters from serial terminal. :( Is there a particular configuration to set up in EspEasy?

PC Telnet -> WEMOS ESP -> PC USB Terminal : OK
PC USB Termnal -> WEMOS ESP -> PC Telnet : KO, no character received

My configuration :

You should disable the Serial Port checkbox on the Tools/Advanced screen, as it will conflict with the Serial Server device.

What do you send to the ESP?
Do you end with CR (ASCII code 13) and/or LF (ASCII code 10) ?

Edit:
Is the baud rate set correct on both sides?

Juste send test with ascii characters...
I use the Arduino terminal with CR/LF checked.
If I reset the serial interface, I received some logs in serial terminal and yet I deactivated the serial logs
