There are "blank" images included in the nightly build zip files, for purposes like this.
There is some kind of protection where the ESP detects the reboot cycle and tries to disable tasks until it stops rebooting.
However if you have 2 tasks causing this issue, then I think it may not be able to get out of this loop by itself as it currently only disables a single task and not all.
