MQTT/OpenHab and the PubSubClient library

#1 Post by NietGiftig » 25 Sep 2015, 16:54

I'm having some problems with the use of MQTT and ESPEasy firmware.
After that espeasy initially worked with mqtt and opnenhab, the connection to the broker disappeared after some time.

Serial reboot did not help, cold reboot idem dito.
MQTT : Failed to connected to broker
But after the loading of the firmware and the initial start and connect from the web interface it worked well.

I have the same sub as the ESPEasy (/#) on the command line of my raspberry.
I see all the manual pub's that I give
The button in OpenHAB is also working in the sub terminal screen.

Witch version of the pubsub library is required?
I've read an interesting topic over esp8266/mqtt/openhab in the esp8266.com forum
http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?p=27133#p27133

It seem that a fork of the original is at the moment the better choice
https://github.com/Imroy/pubsubclient
Does it make any difference?.
Are there any keeping alive signals from EasyESP to MQTT?
