For all of you that struggle with programming the ESP-01 module, I could really recommend this little tool.
You can program the ESP-01 module just like the NodeMCU. No fiddling with jumpwires, no issues with voltage levels or too low current feed, no manual switching of the GPIO-0 pin. It has flash & reset buttons but you don't even need them to program, since the Arduino IDE does it for you if you select "NodeMCU reset method"
Just plugin the module and hit upload in Arduino, that's all...
(Can't say anything about the delivery times and such for this tindie offer, because I've bought it from a Dutch reseller)
