HeatpumpIR LG

#1 Post by BuddhaZen » 05 Aug 2021, 14:17

There is an LG air conditioner, how to make a correct command to operate it?
There is no LG brand in the HeatpumpIR list of air conditioners (https://espeasy.readthedocs.io/en/lates ... /P088.html).

When I press the control panel of the device, I receive a command in the ESP log -

52543 : Info : AC State: Model: 1 (GE6711AR2853M), Power: On, Mode: 0 (Cool), Temp: 24C, Fan: 5 (Auto)
52545 : Info : IRSENDAC,'{"protocol":"LG","model":"GE6711AR2853M","power":"On","mode":"Cool","temp":24,"swingv":"Off","swingh":"Off","light":"Off"}'

The template looks like this - heatpumpir, <model>, <powerstate>, <mode>, <fan>, <temperature>, <swingV>, <swingH>

I try to send a command like -http://192.168.0.179/control?cmd=heatpu ... 0,5,24,0,0
With different options... But it doesn't work:
Command unknown: heatpumpir,LG,1,0,5,24,0,0

installed - ESP_Easy_mega_20210802_minimal_IRext_ESP8266_4M1M
The Heatpump IR transmitter option is enabled, and if you try a test sample for Panasonic - the command works

PS. Enter the command indicating only the manufacturer:
Midea, panasonic and others from the list:
http://192.168.0.179/control?cmd=heatpumpir,midea
answer - P088: Heatpump IR code transmitted <BR> OK

LG... :(
http://192.168.0.179/control?cmd=heatpumpir,LG
answer - Command unknown: heatpumpir,LG

The difficult part here is that the HeatpumpIR library used b ESPEasy hasn't been updated for about 2 years, so it probably doesn't have support for recent models. You could try to poke the author of that library to add support for LG
