Somfy Tilt 50 RTS needs continuous transmission

#1 Post by sebak » 31 Mar 2018, 00:50

Hi,

I'm trying to control my Somfy tilt 50 RTS motor with RFLink. I got a 433.42 mhz rflink transmitter which seems to work fine.
The problem is that the tilt 50 motor (used to only control the tilt of 50mm blinds) requires continuous commands.
Whereas most other somfy motors you press down and they keep going doing until they reach their limit and same for up. But the tilt 50 stops moving when you stop pressing the button on the remote.
If I try to send the commands in a loop it works but it moves in steps instead of 1 fluid continuous motion.

Does anybody know how to do this correctly?

Thanks

This sounds similar to my problem but afaik I don't have a tilt motor. It's pleated blinds with the 25 engine.
Did you manage to solve this?

Did somebody found an answer to this problem?

I think i know what causes this:
The RF-link is sending the controlling command to long.

I also have a somfy remote.
When i push short the UP button, than the blind will fully turn UP.
This is the same for the other buttons (DOWN and MY).
But when i hold the UP button, than the blind goes in small steps UP. The same reaction as a command that RF-link sends.
At this time i disconnected the RF-link and control the blinds with a remote. I was not very usefull to send 100 or more commands to 2 blinds, to get them closed.
This took 4 minutes. And my domoticz was very bussy that time.

I am looking if there is an option to modify the sending time in the RF-link.
Maybe than we could discoverer if that is the problem.
